Portrait Workshop
This course aims to give a concise introduction to the art of portrait drawing and painting over 3 consecutive Saturdays from 10 am to 4pm with 1hr for lunch.

Program & Dates
- WEEK 1:A detailed exploration of the anatomy of the face starting with basic placing of the main features. Bone and muscle structure. Analysis of eyes, nose, mouth and tone. Bring an A2sketchbook HB, 2B pencils, eraser and pencil sharpener.
- WEEK 2:AM:A re-appraisal of last weeks study. Drawing from plaster casts including planes of the face, a short slide presentation on what makes a great portrait. A overview on colour. PM: Live Model two and half hours. Bring your own preferred mediums: paints and/or pastels.
- WEEK 3:Live model all day (putting it all together) this will be the same model as Week 2. Bring your own preferred mediums: paints and/or pastels.
